what keeps you grounded?

my past experiences, the framework of what I’d like to achieve in my future and the knowledge that everyone makes mistakes or hits bumps in the road and that doesn’t mean I won’t do the things I set out to do. Oh! and moving forward with intention and love. Everyone needs a little kindness, especially during these times

fav meal to make at home?

I don’t know if this counts as a meal or maybe just a snack, but I’m an absolute sucker for almond butter on toast topped with banana and hemp seeds 🤤 I like the toast to be super crunchy, almost (but not quite!!) too toasted

what/who inspires you?

women inspire me so much, I think the way we can lift and support each other is incredibly beautiful. I’m also heavily inspired by architecture and design, there is something striking about looking at a building or object and knowing someone used their brain power to create and execute it so you can see and touch it

a hobby you do, and one you’ve always wanted to try?

does reading count as a hobby!? lol I’m a huge bookworm. Hmm- I make little clay sculptures in my spare time, and I built a lot of the furniture in my room (bed frame and bench) I like working with my hands. I find I forget time and space when I’m lost in a project and it feels like a deep meditation when I’m finished. I’d really like to try painting though

what makes a home?

oh I love this question!! I moved so much as a child. I came from a very unstable/abusive home and was involved with social services for as long as I can remember. That translates to being pushed from home to home, check ins with my social worker, a lot of uncertainty and anxiety about where I would go next. So for me home is somewhere I can just breathe and be still. It is comforting and warm, it’s safe. I like having my own space that I can return to and feel like I’m being embraced by

1 little moment that brightened your day recently?

my best friend surprising me with fresh baked cookies left on my doorstep

what are you reading/listening to/watching?

as I mentioned earlier, I’m a massive bookworm. I just finished Severance by Ling Ma, Happiness as Such by Natalia Ginzburg and Tonight I’m Someone Else by Chelsea Hodson. All were brilliant and beautiful. I just started the Complete Stories of Leonora Carrington and it’s dreamy. I don’t watch a lot of tv but I finished Maniac on Netflix and I swear I tell everyone to watch it. It’s only 7 episodes or something and it’s wild. I’ve been listening to Recording Artists by Getty which highlights 6 incredible female artists and asks what it meant (and still means) to be a woman and an artist

fav vintage item you own?

ohhhhh my favourite vintage piece. Do I have to choose one 🥺 I guess it would be a pair of Levi’s 501’s that are a men’s 32. They’re HUGE on me so I belt them a ridiculous amount. I wanted to get them tailored but I genuinely love them so much I’m worried that something would happen to them or the tailor would turn them into something else and I think they have a certain magic as it is now.
